Literary club has organized a quiz competition on 6th February, 2016 as a part of Saturday activity and the topic of quiz contest was current affairs. All the group members participated actively in this activity. M. Sc. Nursing 2nd year students have prepared questions for quiz competition under the guidance of their teachers. All the arrangements for the quiz was done by the students collectively.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CONTEST :-

ROUND 1: DIRECT QUESTION ANSWER ROUND

This round was conducted by Ms. Pratibha. There were 12 questions in this round and each team got 3questions, 30 marks were awarded for each correct answer. The time limit was 15 sec.

ROUND 2: PICTORIAL ROUND

This round was conducted by Ms. Niharika. There were 4 picture questions in this round and each team got 1questions, 10 marks were awarded for each correct answer. The time limit was 15 sec.

ROUND 3: SPORTS ROUND

This round was conducted by Ms. Niharika. There were 4 questions in this round and each team got questions, 10 marks were awarded for each correct answer. This was the pass on round and next team got plus 5 marks for every correct passed on question. The time limit was 15 seconds.

ROUND 4: YES/NO ROUND

This round was conducted by Ms. Pratibha. There were 8 questions in this round and each team got 20 questions, marks were awarded for each correct answer. The time limit was 15 seconds.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS

The scores of all rounds were tallied. There was no tie between Teams. Hence, Team A was the winner of the competition with 60 points. The first runner-up was Team C with 25 points, and the second runner-up wasTeam D with 20 points.

CLOSING CEREMONY

To bring the programme to a close principal Ms. Ranjit Kaur gave a small speech and thanked all the participants and literary club members, teachers ands audience for joining us in the quiz contest and making it a great success. She awarded certificates to winning teams for encouragement.

After presentation ceremony the students took out photographs with club members and teachers. At the end club advisor apreciated the efforts taken by club members especially M.Sc. Nursing 2nd year students and club master Ms. Komal Rana and on that note the programme came to an end.
